Aleshi's long day pt 4

We had ridden on Minazuki to reach the barracks. Unohana had told me that she would not be able to stay at the barracks so, using Minazuki’s healing powers would be a lot easier for everyone else to heal the wounds. One small problem. Most of the members of Squad Four were on Sokyoku hill, healing everyone there. At least there was anyone here.
Seated officers seven and above were stationed here at the barracks. They allowed me into the healing room before they began the procedure.
I sat quietly next to Toushirou’s bedside, thinking of what to say. I clenched and unclenched my fists nervously.
~Stop freaking out! He’ll be fine.~ my wrist band said.
~I know, I’m just…~ I started.
~Stupid?~ it offered.
~Shut up.~ I said.
~Just go on and kiss him. He’ll never know if he’s unconscious. And who knows? This may be your only chance.~ it said.
Holy crap. My wrist band was right. This may be my only chance. And if he doesn’t return my feelings, he’ll never know I kissed him. This could work…
Should I or shouldn’t I? That was the only thought in my mind, until my body moved on its own.
~What the hell?~ I thought, surprised.
Was I going to…oh shyt. I’m screwed.
My thoughts were racing. I couldn’t control myself. I slowly stood up and leaned over Toushirou. My breathing was shallow and I swallowed hard. Then, it happened. I did it. I actually kissed him. Holy shyt.
It was actually kind of nice…I closed my eyes. They snapped open when I realized, subconsciously, he was kissing me back. What…the…F?!
I pulled back quickly. He wasn’t awake, his breathing hadn’t changed. Had I imagined it?
I sat in the waiting room, bored as hell, but still thinking about the kiss. I blushed thinking about it.
I gazed lazily out the window, a clear view of Sokyoku hill. I looked up at the sky to see a humongous crack. I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Large, white hands began pulling it apart.
“Menos!” I breathed.
Three beams of yellow light came down from the hole and lifted three people up.  I knew it had to be Aizen, Gin, and Tousen.  Those bastards.
“Aleshi-sama! Aleshi-sama!” someone shouted.
I jerked my head away from the window to see Hanatarou.
“What is it, Hana-chan?” I asked, “How is Hitsugaya-taichou?”
“He’s asleep, but you can go in now. Hanatarou replied.
He looked really tired. Thank god he was here. I smiled at him.
“Arigatou, Hana-chan.” I said, hugging him.
“Douitshimashite, Aleshi-sama.” He replied shyly.
I walked quietly into Toushirou’s room. I pulled a chair up next his bedside and sat down.  His breathing was a lot better and that made me happy. He wasn’t in any danger. I smiled a little.
“Arigatou, Hitsu-kun. For staying alive.”  I whispered.
“Nowwhoisit?” Toushirou mumbled.
I caught my breath and my face flushed. Did he hear me?
“Hitsugaya-taicho! How are you feeling?” I asked hurriedly.
He sat up slowly and yawned. I blushed harder. I still couldn’t get over the fact that I had kissed him. Did he know?
“Better than before.” He muttered.
“That’s good.” I sighed, smiling a little.
“You know, we never did finish out little talk.”
“What talk?”I asked, knowing exactly what he was talking about.
“Was what you said earlier true?” he repeated.
My face lit up like a thermometer in boiling water.
“I…already answered.” I mumbled.
“I passed out before I heard you answer.”
Proves how much I was paying attention. The floor suddenly became a very interesting place to look. I nodded slowly.
“Hai, Hitsu-kun.” I whispered.
“Well, I felt really bad after you ran off because…”
“Hai?” I looked up at Toushirou.
Now he was blushing, but he was looking right at me.
“I didn’t get to…”
“Haaaaaai?”
“To tell you how I felt.”
He looked at the wall after that and I knew what he was going to say. ‘I’m sorry.’ ‘I can’t return you feelings.’ ‘I love someone else.’ I swear to god, I f he said Momo, I’d kill him.
“I’m in love-“he started.
“With someone else.” I mumbled.
I knew it, I knew it. I looked at the ground again. That was all I was good for. Tears came to my eyes again. Damn my sensitivity!
“No, Aleshi.” He said, putting his hand under my chin and lifted my head up, “I’m in love with you.”
“Na-nani?!” I exclaimed.
He pulled me into a hug and I gasped. Holy crap!
“I love you.” He repeated.
“Did they give you some kind of pain killer?” I asked.
He pulled away and placed his hands on my shoulders. He looked confused.
“No…why?”
“Just wondering.”
“You think I’m joking?”
That’s exactly what I thought. Bull’s eye.
“No. I just wonder why.” I mumbled.
Toushirou let go of my shoulders and laid back down. I stood up, getting ready to leave. The sun was setting. I needed to see if Rukia was alright.
“Aleshi…” Toushirou started.
“I’ve got to go. I still need to check on Rukia.” I said.
I quickly walked out the door, not looking back.
