I could never hate you...

“…you’re going to what?!” Alanza gaped. “Why would you do that?!”
“I’m going to die tomorrow.” Lelouch repeated, looking away. “It’s something that has to be done.”
She clenched her eyes shut and shook her head. She couldn’t believe this! Lelouch, getting killed? What for? There was no reason to do this!
“Lelouch…y-you don’t have to die. It doesn’t have to happen like that.” She mumbled. “What for anyway?”
“So that the world can be a better place.” He said plainly.
She looked up at him and glared. How is one person dying going to make the world a better place? People die every day, nothing changes. Nothing happens at all! No one even really cares; it’s just how things work. So why will his death make a difference?
“What’s gonna happen when you die?” Alanza grumbled. “What’s gonna change?”
“The world’s hatred will be focused on me so that everything else can be put towards making it a better place.” He nodded.
“But why? Can’t you help everyone to put their energy into helping everyone else?” she squeaked. “You have an influence over these people, use it for good! You don’t have to die!!”
“I have to die! It’s the only thing I can do now.” Lelouch huffed. “I’ve been planning this from the very beginning.
“Then why didn’t you tell me?” she sniffed.
Lelouch looked over at her and blinked. He’d only seen her this upset one other time, when he almost took Refrain. She was shaking terribly and flexing her hands quickly.
“So…” she said softly. “Are you expecting me to hate you or something now? For not telling me anything through this whole thing? Or because I’m supposed to?”
“For everything. I…was terrible.” He sighed.
Alanza looked up at him for a second. She took a quick step forward and gently pressed her lips against his.
“I could never hate you…idiot.” She smiled.

gaaaaah, i had to do it XD (i've said that what, three times now?) i wanted to make another screen shot thingy since i hadn't done one in a while~ this was uber fun to do X3 oh, and it you look close enough, there's tears forming in Alanza's eyes...er...eye.
